Role
Unitemps are recruiting for a Web Migration Assistant within the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences. The role is to work ASAP and will run until 29th August full time at 36.5 hours per week . Payment is set at £20.29 + holiday pay per hour and the role will be HYBRID based.
The Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences is recognised globally for both its teaching and research excellence. Our interests span the globe as we seek to understand the social, political, economic, cultural and environmental processes that have shaped the world over time.
The post holder will join the Faculty Marketing and Communications Team and work with the team to support the university's website migration project for the faculty, migrating the Faculty's web estate from Drupal 7 to 10. This will involve following a migration plan to ensure faculty and departmental websites are ready to migrate and support this work during and after migration, working with key stakeholders to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. They will be familiar with Drupal (versions 7-10) or other website CMS systems, along with SiteImprove and Google Analytics. They will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications, Faculty Communications and Events Officer, as well as liaise with departmental Web Content Managers and other stakeholders of the Faculty web estate.
Duties and responsibilities
- Website maintenance and management using Drupal CMS and SiteImprove
- Quality control across Faculty and departmental websites
- Ensuring all activities are GDPR, CMA and Public Sector Accessibility Regulation compliant
- Supporting other Faculty activities where website development or technical support are involved
Skills and experience
- Experience of working for a communications or digital team
- Experience of using web content management systems, ideally Drupal 7-10
- A demonstrable track record of supporting effective communications, especially in the digital or social sphere.
- Experience of using web analytics and qualitative feedback to enhance and develop communication or website plans.
- All-round computer literacy and familiarity with website maintenance.
- Strong communications skills and knowledge/experience of implementing GDPR, CMA and Accessibility compliancy guidelines.

Hybrid (one day per month on site)

Please note to be eligible to work within this role, you must have the right to work in the UK, be physically based in the UK and be able to travel to our London based office for a RTW check (if required).
