Pay: £12.21 per hour

Location: DogFest, Tatton Park, Cheshire

I am currently working with an organisation who are seeking Event staff to assist at DogFest taking place at, Tatton Park, Cheshire on BOTH Saturday 21 June & Sunday 22 June 2025.

This event is known as "the ultimate dog day out which celebrates everything we love about our four-legged best friends", so expect a lot of people and a lot of dogs! Attendees may partake in a big dog walk route, so you might be required to join them if your position so requires.

This role is from 8:30 - 1700 pm (Finish time potentially slightly earlier depending on the role) and the candidate must be available for both the Saturday and Sunday.

I must stress, this role is very customer focused, you must be comfortable approaching the visitors, guiding them around the park, and you MUST be comfortable around dogs. 

Duties and responsibilities

staff might be required to carry out a variety of roles from the following:

  • Route Marshal - To be located around the route where participants may need guidance. perhaps walking some of the rote with them.
  • To monitor dog welfare and be a point of contact on the route should participants need assistance - will be in contact with Ops team for advice.
  • Registration - a team will be required to book in attendees at both the main registration and for the dog show that’s taking place there.
  • Haybale race marshal - Ensuring the smooth running and crowd maintenance for this small event - keeping an eye on dog welfare too.

Skills and experience

  • Must be comfortable around Dogs.
  • Must be able to use initiative.
  • Happy and comfortable to engage with and approach the Visitors.
  • Must be comfortable dealing with queries from the general public.
  • Able to be on their feet for several hours.
