Role
The Inclusive Assessment Learning Circle is part of the Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA). WIHEA is an academy that enables staff and students to engage in projects and activities to advance learning and teaching excellence.
WIHEA Learning Circles help the WIHEA community, lead and develop expertise. Learning Circles do this by exploring new opportunities and approaches to tackling current challenges faced by Warwick and/or other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the globe.
The Inclusive Assessment Learning Circle is being relaunched in the 2025/26 academic year. The overall aim for this Learning Circle is to foster an inclusive environment where assessments and assessment strategies are explored and evaluated in meaningful partnership with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
We are seeking eight undergraduate students to be involved in an online workshop that will be focused on exploring assessment experiences here at Warwick. This workshop will help to inform the specific aims of this Learning Circle and the activities it will undertake to enhance inclusive assessment practices at Warwick. We are committed to ensuring that a student-informed approach is being taken to the development of the Learning Circle.
The workshop is taking place via MS Teams on Friday 11th July 2025, 11am – 12.30pm.
As participants of the online workshop, you will be involved in group activities that will be focused on exploring your experiences of assessment here at Warwick. This will include being involved in discussions with other participants about aspects such as different assessments you’ve undertaken, good assessment practices you’ve experienced, and barriers or challenges you may have experienced within assessments.
The workshop will be 1 hour and 30 minutes in length. You will also be given a 30-minute activity to complete in preparation for the workshop. The total time required for this role is 2 hours.
Please note, for this role you must be available to attend the online workshop on Friday 11th July, 11am – 12.30pm.
Duties and responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Engaging in discussion with other student participants about assessment experiences here at Warwick.
- Completing a 30-minute activity in preparation for the workshop.
Skills and experience
Essential skills:
- Studying at undergraduate level at Warwick.
- Good communication skills: ability to interact clearly with other workshop participants.
- Collaboration: willingness to engage in discussions and group activities.
- Reflective thinking: ability to assess personal experiences and learning journeys.
- Enthusiasm for improving learning experiences: a proactive and positive attitude toward discussing and improving assessment experiences.

Interview - There will not be an interview for this role. The successful workshop participants will be selected based on the information provided in their covering letter.
- Start date: Monday 7th July 2025 – this is the date the preparation activity will be emailed to workshop participants.
- End date: Friday 11th July 2025 – this is the date of the online workshop.
