Role
We are looking for an intern to work 6 months for a business based in Maidstone. 

 
The intern will work to continuously contribute to the overall reduction of energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions across EMEA and take a key role in the coordination and deployment of the EMEA Energy audits

Duties and responsibilities

  • Site Energy audit coordination across EMEA (Travel to sites in Morocco, Spain, Netherlands and Portugal essential)
  • Collation of energy audit action plan
  • Delivery of energy actions
  • Monthly reporting of Electricity, refrigerant & GHG stats
  • Leadership of small value or low complexity energy focused projects
  • Generation of energy saving initiatives
  • Coordination of site energy meetings

Skills and experience

  • Good understanding of renewable energy, tariffs, sustainability calculations and refrigerant gases
  • Strong analytical  and mathematical skills
  • Well-developed personal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of employees across different countries and cultures
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proactive approach and prompt responses to all requests
  • Ability to identify needs and issues and recommend suitable and pragmatic courses to action and solutions, adopting a risk aware approach
  • Good time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle a number of tasks at once and meeting deadlines as required
  • Good IT skills including experience of Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and using a switchboard
