Description
Role
Our client are seeking an interim marketing officer to support with, primarily written, content creation, and digital marketing operations, including websites content, social media, email and advertising. Work will be strongly focused on student recruitment marketing, for both the upcoming clearing and confirmation period (July-August) and in setting up operations for the next recruitment cycle.
Working hours and days are Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
The role will be 3-6 months with potential for extension.
Hybrid position.
Duties and responsibilities
- Updating website content, following existing protocols, using either provided material or self-researched copy.
- Refreshing website pages – working with colleagues to draft the shape and content of new or replacement sections of the website and liaising with the Creative Lead and Web Developer to get the pages built and live.
- Drafting and building marketing email templates (systems training can be provided)
- Reviewing and updating content for external websites, for example university profiles and course listings.
- Researching and writing case studies for use across various marketing channels
- Support the creation of and publication of social media content.
- Support the creation of assets for campaigns, including imagery selection, copywriting, tracked web links.
Skills and experience
- Strong copywriter – excellent language skills and ability to write accurate but creative copy
- Strong interpersonal skills – will need to liaise with people across the university to gather information and secure collaboration.
- Understanding/experience of writing for youth audiences.
- Experience in crafting email marketing campaigns.
- Experience using website content management systems.
- Appreciation and understanding of the student journey (from initial contact to application to enrolment) and associated user experience.
- Experience working with CRM systems
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Advertising, Meta advertising and other digital platforms.
