Role
Based in Stoke-on-Trent, our client are a specialist Microsoft Partner, focused on enabling business growth for primarily small & medium businesses using Microsoft cloud software technology (Dynamics 365, the Power Platform, Azure, and Office/Microsoft 365). Passionate about the technology they work with, they help their customers to implement business applications and CRM systems as part of their digital transformation journey. 

 
Working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm.Hybrid working following successful probation. 

Duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will become an integral part of the consultancy team. The primary role of the position will be to support the consultancy team in delivering simple (initially) project work for a range of customers of differing size and complexity, working at various stages in the lifecycle of customers’ Dynamics 365 journeys, from initial analysis, through to delivery and ongoing support.You will learn how Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications can transform businesses and gain a good grounding in associated technologies such as Office/Microsoft 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Azure.You will also be required to become Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform certified via a dedicated training plan, with all training and exams completed during working hours, all funded by our client.

In addition to the core focus of working on projects, you will be expected to assist on the support desk from time to time where required, providing support to existing customers.As the company are a small but growing business, you will feel valued within the organisation and your voice will be heard. Although the role of a Junior Consultant will vary from day to day, the ideal candidate will be required to:

  • Operate as a member of the consultancy team, delivering high quality project work.
  • Take scoped requirements and deliver them using Dynamics 365 and Power Platform technologies.
  • Elicit and document requirements from key stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are fully understood.
  • Work on the Support Desk helping to manage support tickets from initial logging through to successful resolution.
  • Collaborate with other Strategy 365 staff members to ensure successful outcomes of project delivery and support cases.
  • Assist the Lead Consultant as and when required.

Skills and experience

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a related subject, or relevant experience within the technology sector
  • A solid interest in technology
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clients and prospects
  • Adaptability to work well both as part of a team and independently as required
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to articulate findings to internal staff and customers
  • Grounding in Microsoft technologies such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Analytical and creative thinking skills to help customers to solve business challenges
  • Ability to present yourself in a professional manner
  • A good understanding of web-based software and relational databases
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role
  • Previous experience with Microsoft business software
