Description

Role
The Community Manager will work closely with the Partnerships and Impact manager to coordinate programmes and services to support the Better Space community. This includes hosting bespoke, topical events and specialist initiatives that encourage the creation of responsible businesses and access to new jobs and skills.

Duties and responsibilities
The post holder will work collaboratively with the members and the wider team to bring the space to life, building a community orientated hub where founders can work, learn and play.

 
The post holder will also be responsible for promoting the coworking services and it’s programmes and ensuring that Better Space develops a happy, connected community that is willing to participate and give back.
 
This is an exciting role which offers the post holder the opportunity to develop and build an important and innovative initiative which will support local economic recovery and deliver social value to City’s broader community.

Skills and experience

Experience 

Supporting and coaching early stage startups

Proven experience in community management, preferably in a co-working environment

Previous experience of event organisation.

Proven experience of marketing and promotional activities that use digital, social media and other channels

Previous experience of supporting programmes to develop entrepreneurs ie accelerator programmes, mentoring and demo days

Good networking skills with a strong ability to ability to build and nurture communities and opportunities

Experience working in social enterprise sector, programme delivery, strategic planning, and building partnerships for sustainable growth.

Skills

Effective organisational and planning skills, demonstrated by a proven ability to successfully initiate, manage and complete projects

Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal (including regular presenting), and report writing

Confidence to represent and promote Better Space both internally and externally

Working pattern: Monday-Friday 0900-1700
 
This role is 3 days in the office with some opportunity to WFH
 
Due to the nature of this role it is not open to students however we do encourage recent graduates to apply.
