Role

We’re looking for a passionate and imaginative Content Creator to join the LJMU Physical Wellbeing Team, based at the Sports Building, Copperas Hill.

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing compelling and creative content for our social media platforms—particularly TikTok and Instagram. You will be instrumental in enhancing our digital presence and fostering community engagement through engaging visual storytelling.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop platform-specific content for Instagram Collaborate with the LJMU Physical Wellbeing Team to interview, film, and edit content for social media.
  • and TikTok to promote and support participation in physical wellbeing programmes.
  • Create engaging stories and reels that help foster a welcoming, community-driven environment for students and staff.
  • Meet agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relating to the volume and impact of social media content.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the department’s programmes and services to reflect them accurately in content.
  • Generate original ideas to enhance audience interaction and drive student and staff engagement.
  • Research and apply current digital and university sector trends to ensure content relevance.
  • Monitor trending themes, sounds, and memes on TikTok and Instagram to incorporate into campaigns.
 

Additional Duties

  • Flexible Working: This role may require work during evenings and occasional weekends depending on service needs.

Skills and experience

Eligibility

Must be a current LJMU student or a graduate within the past two years.

Social Media Skills

Experience using LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.

Content Creation

Confident in filming, editing, and appearing in video content as the face of LJMU Physical Wellbeing.

Creativity & Proactivity

Able to work independently, take initiative, and contribute fresh ideas.

Communication Skills

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.

Enthusiasm for Wellbeing

Demonstrates a genuine interest in and passion for promoting physical wellbeing.

Team Player & Learner

Willingness to learn from colleagues and engage with a wide range of people.
