Unitemps are recruiting for a HR Assistant. This role is for a June 30th start date and has a projected end date of August 29th 2025. This is a full time role at 36.5 hours per week. Payment is set at £18.88 per hour + holiday pay. This role will be hybrid working with 3 days per week from UCL campus and the rest from home.
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Human Resources Assistant to support the delivery of a professional, efficient, and people-focused HR service within the Research Department of Primary Care & Population Health (PCPH). Based at the UCL Royal Free Campus with some time at our Bloomsbury site, you’ll be a vital part of the Institute’s operational success—helping to shape an inclusive, supportive working environment for over 250 staff and 300 students.Duties and responsibilities
What you’ll be doing
In this key administrative role, you will:
- Provide timely, accurate HR support to staff across the department—covering recruitment, right to work, Certificates of Sponsorship, onboarding, payments and more.
- Ensure smooth delivery of HR processes in line with UCL policies and employment legislation.
- Offer guidance to managers and staff on employee relations, contractual changes, appraisals, and probation processes.
- Support operational initiatives including equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), wellbeing and compliance (e.g., GDPR, health and safety).
- Maintain high-quality records and monitor key staffing milestones such as contract end dates and funding changes.
