Role
The department of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences is looking to appoint a summer intern to help with the day-to-day operations of its social media channels on Instagram, LinkedIn, X etc. In this exciting role, you will be asked to assist and create engaging content tailored to each platform in order to help highlight the incredible work occurring in the department from both members of staff and visitors. The role will require liaising with staff in the department and being creative to raise awareness of activities that occur within the department. The role is flexible depending on what activities are occurring and will require you to be available to travel to campus to capture content.  

Duties and responsibilities
• Establish content for multiple social media pages

• Collaborate with staff to create social media content 
• Brainstorm or identify ideas for posts to generate engagement
• Source and post relevant video and image content across multiple social channels
• Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers on social media channels in a timely manner

Skills and experience
• Storng understanding of social media channels (e.g., TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat)

• Experience of creating social media content• Communicate clearly, accurately and succinctly
• Creative and can come up with fresh ideas
• Enthusiasm and confidence to communicate with staff and visitors
