Role
We are seeking a PhD student or postgrad-level researcher to support our clients Health Information Team by producing up-to-date, evidence-based summaries of complementary and alternative treatments for osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Duties and responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Conduct mini systematic reviews of published literature (e.g. Cochrane, PubMed)
- Focus on treatments’ efficacy and safety in human trials
- Summarise the evidence in accessible, structured briefs for the public (approx. 12 treatments in total) that will serve as updates to our existing content.
Skills and experience
Ideal for:
- PhD students (or equivalent level of experience) or recent PhD graduates in health sciences, pharmacy or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience of conducting and summarising research evidence/ findings.
Key skills:
- Experience in searching and evaluation of research literature, specifically but not exclusively clinical and biomedical systematic reviews and meta-analyses
- Ability to synthesise research findings and produce clear and concise summaries for the general public
- Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected data
- Proficiency with virtual communication tools such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams
