Role
To support our undergraduate open day on Saturday 5 July; with the opportunity to also work on our open days on Saturday 13 September, Saturday 4 October, and Saturday 8 November.
Duties and responsibilities
Creating a warm, welcoming environment by being friendly and approachable, offering campus and accommodation tours, giving directions, and positively promoting the University of Leicester to prospective undergraduate students and their families.
Skills and experience
· Currently studying at the University of Leicester, either as an undergraduate (including those who have just completed their final year and due to graduate summer 2025), or current postgraduate student.
· A positive attitude towards the University of Leicester, our facilities and courses
· Friendly and approachable
· Excellent Customer service skills (experience of or an understanding of what excellent customer service is)
· Ability to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds
· Ability to work effectively in a team
· Organised and able to multi task
· Excellent time management skills (reliable and punctual)
· Ability to engage with young people (face to face and via virtual platforms)
· Ability to work on own and use own initiative where appropriate
· Knowledge of the University of Leicester, including its campus

Please note: We are able to reimburse students’ travel expenses if travelling from outside of Leicester (outside of LE1 and LE2 postcodes) for the July and September events only for the purposes of this shift to a maximum of £50 total.
