Role
The Assistant Venue Manager will assist the Venue Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our event venues. This role is essential in ensuring that events are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. The Assistant Venue Manager will work closely with the Venue Manager and other team members to coordinate logistics, maintain facilities, and provide exceptional service to clients and guests

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and coordinating events, ensuring all logistics are handled, including setup, technical support, catering, and staffing.
  • Support the Venue Manager in ensuring the venue is maintained to the highest standard, including cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to event organisers, clients, and guests, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and setup of services.
  • Assist in the scheduling and management of event staff, including coordinators, ushers, security, and technical personnel.
  • Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed during events and that the venue meets all local regulations and requirements.
  • Assist in managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and preparing reports for the Venue Manager or senior management.
  • Handle any operational or logistical issues during events, ensuring minimal disruption to clients and attendees.
  • Ensure the venue is properly closed down after events, including overseeing clean-up and equipment removal.

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience in management within a venue or hospitality setting
  • Strong guest service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of event planning and venue operations
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in hospitality environments
