Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated research assistant to support a funded project within the School of Nursing and Advanced practice.This project aims to explore the perspectives and experiences of non-NHS cancer survivorship support organisations in the Liverpool city region in relation to how they support Black cancer survivors and their family caregivers. We are seeking a research assistant with experience of organising and conducting focus groups and analysing data to assist the research team with this exciting project.

Duties and responsibilities
Collection of research data via focus groups, literature review (undertaking a search across databases) Contributing to the preparation of results for internal/external audiences, carrying out administrative tasks related to the delivery of the research. 

Skills and experience

  • Hold a Masters degree in a relevant field.
  • Working towards a doctorate.
  • Experience of organising and conducting focus groups, transcribing, theming and performing literature reviews using relevant databases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to assimilate and present data with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word and Excel and NVIVO (or similar).
  • Enthusiastic and quick to learn.
