Role
**********The below role is only open to Middlesex University Students***********
Ready to learn and have some fun in the world of fashion? This is your opportunity to gain valuable experience with a fashion start-up that champions style and circularity.
At Under Her Eyes, we create sustainable fashion for style-conscious consumers looking to break away from the mass-produced fast fashion of the high street. We’re a unique, conscientious brand specializing in small-batch womenswear accessories and jewellery. By embracing the "slow fashion" movement, we aim to reduce the environmental impact of our products and offer eco-conscious customers a more sustainable way to shop.
Duties and responsibilities
Get ready to dive in and get hands-on! From day one, you’ll be learning and tackling the social media side of fashion retail. You’ll work closely with Silva, the founder and lecturer in Fashion Buying and Merchandising at LCF, assisting her with social media activities while gaining valuable insight into what it takes to manage a small start- up from a social media perspective. Silva will guide, teach, and motivate you, helping you develop the skills you need to support your journey in the fashion industry.
Skills and experience
We’re looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for responsible fashion. You should be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail and solid research skills. Creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to think outside the box are essential, along with a drive to learn and grow.
Essential skills:
- Experience with Canva, Later scheduling tool, Instagram and Tiktok
- Comfortable working in a self-directed way as well as part of the team
Desirable
- Studying in a relevant area such as marketing, digital marketing, branding or marketing communications
- Experience with copywriting such as blog, social media or web
Location
Hybrid (remote and weekly meetings in person at the London College of Fashion)
