Learning and development is one of the most important ways to ensure our staff have the most up to date skills and knowledge to be the best at their job and to support our residents in the best possible way. This role is an exciting opportunity for you to help with a Barnet Group project that will make a difference.

The role will be part of a small but highly focused delivery team who work as part of The Barnet Group’s learning and development service.

We’ll help you to develop transferable skills you can take with you into the real world such as content creation, project planning, running workshops/ briefing session, events planning and using and understanding the data platform Learning Pool our Learning Management System.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about learning and supporting people, is tech savvy and is a great communicator who understands the benefits of learning be it online or face to face and can explain this to those who need to use our systems.

You’ll get to deliver briefing sessions, help run meetings and feedback to different audiences.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in implementation and delivery of our learning management system and one-to-one support sessions to staff
  • Help staff navigate our learning platform, Learning Pool, to ensure staff can book their learning and development sessions.
  • Provide patient and accessible guidance and support on using the Learning Management system, including email and how to guides.
  • Support the team with engagement, and promoting the learning management system sessions
  • Assist in creating simple guides and resources for residents
  • Contribute ideas and actively participate in team discussions

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Interest in all things digital and internet and enthusiastic to communicate your passion to others
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to support diverse staff groups.
  • Ability to explain technology in a simple, patient and accessible way.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good with people, patient and non-judgemental
  • Ability to explain concepts and ideas in a fun and engaging way to a variety of different audiences
  • Comfortable working in a self-directed way as well as part of the team

Desirable

  • Studying in a relevant area such as Learning and Development, social care, teaching
  • Knowledge of digital inclusion challenges and accessibility needs for staff
  • Experience with delivering presentations

Colindale/Burnt Oak offices
