Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work for our prestigious client who are looking for an IT Infrastructure & Security Graduate Technician.

 
Working hours and days are Monday - Friday 8:45am - 5:00pm, 37.5 hours per week. 
 
Due to the “hands on” nature of the role, we are looking for this to be office-based. There will be occasional home working but that would be more if working on projects etc.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing network, hardware and software faults and solving technical issues.
  • Supporting the Infrastructure and Security Engineer in monitoring and maintaining the Society’s computer systems, telephony, networks and technology.
  • Taking responsibility for supporting internal users in their use of technology.
  • Developing and maintaining close relationships with infrastructure, hardware, and software partners.
  • Troubleshooting and correcting user and system issues.
  • Keeping up to date in the IT industry in relation to computer infrastructure and security.
  • Maintain and monitor the Building Society’s IT infrastructure.
  • Working with infrastructure partners to implement updates and new versions of IT hardware and software to keep the Society’s IT systems, network equipment and servers up to date.
  • Working with infrastructure partner to test and update the Society’s IT Recovery plan.
  • Delivering service levels with infrastructure partner and report on.
  • Managing and resolving issues and incidents, which affect the performance and availability of IT infrastructure, systems & services.
  • Maintaining the Society’s Microsoft 365 services developing and making good use of file storage and email services for all Society users.
  • Provide the first port of call for any technical user issues.
  • Administer access rights to IT infrastructure, hold administer level access for the Society’s infrastructure.
  • Manage Cloud telephony configuration changes
  • Ensuring the Society’s systems, infrastructure and data are secure and appropriately protected with the latest security measures and technologies

  • Cloud Computing/Telephony
  • Hardware & Operating Systems
  • Microsoft 365 Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills
