Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Trainee Electronics Engineer. You'll be working with a small friendly team of innovative engineers, who take an idea all the way through to life saving products, working to high standards with VCA compliant EMC testing along the way.

Working days and hours are Monday-Friday 9am - 4pm. ( 30 hours per week, the company are also open to part time hours to be flexible to work around study) 
 
Location of work is office based 5 days a week.

Duties and responsibilities
Through on-the-job learning, training modules and live project work, you'll experience the entire engineering lifecycle from design, build, development and test to service introduction. Whether you're developing new designs, or improving current products, you'll contribute ideas to product designs for electronics that have to operate reliably in demanding environments. 

 
  • Assisting with work directly on vehicles & extended field service testing
  • Working with PC based application tools Design Spark & all Microsoft Products
  • Analysing results for presentation to customer
  • Supporting application engineers to test and validate functionality and calibration
  • Supporting to develop computer based automatic testing and new product design

Skills and experience

  • You should be studying for a degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • You should have a keen interest in vehicles and electronic systems
  • Have clear written and oral English skills
  • Programming skills, e.g. C C++ would be an advantage
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
