Role
Are you a storyteller at heart? Do you love creating content and sharing your student journey? Here’s your chance to turn your creativity into experience - and get paid for it! We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic and imaginative students to join our Student Content Creator Scheme at the University of Leicester. 

As a Student Content Creator, you will play a key role in producing engaging and authentic content that showcases what life is really like at Leicester. You will work closely with our Recruitment Marketing Team, contributing ideas and creating content that resonates with prospective and current students, parents, carers and influencers. 
 
This is a paid role which is designed to fit flexibly around your studies.

Duties and responsibilities
You’ll be involved in all aspects of content creation, ensuring authenticity is at the heart of everything produced. Key responsibilities include:

•    Content production – Generating ideas, spotting trends and creating video, photography, written and social media content.
•    Social media and web contributions – Producing content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook, as well as the University website.
•    Student experience blogs and vlogs – Giving a real, relatable glimpse into student life.
•    Social media takeovers and Q&As – Answering questions and connecting with future students
•    Event support – Capturing key moments from Open Days, Offer Holder Days and Results Day.
•    Academic content – Sharing insights from your course and subject area
•    Media opportunities – Representing the University in press features and interviews (when needed).

Skills and experience
Who we’re looking for:

•    A current University of Leicester student with at least one year left before graduating.
•    Passion for storytelling, digital media and social media trends.
•    Strong communication and creative skills.
•    Ability to work independently and in a team.
•    Confident to manage and meet deadlines.
•    Comfortable on camera and confident engaging with fellow students.
•    Basic experience in video editing, photography and blogging.
