Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and technically-minded individual to join our client's team as a Technical Administrator. This is a permanent, office-based role based in Coventry, suited to someone with an engineering or electrical background, and an interest in transitioning into an administrative support role within a busy service department.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for all incoming technical calls, providing support and routing enquiries appropriately.
  • Monitor and manage incoming service job sheets, identifying requirements for future work and liaising on quotations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Service Manager and Senior Service Support Administrator to support daily operations of the service department.
  • Contact suppliers to obtain part information and assist in accurate job costing.
  • Provide general administrative support related to service operations and customer service.

Skills and experience

  • Background in engineering or electrical work (either practical experience or relevant qualifications).
  • Prior experience in a technical or service-based role.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • Proficient in handling technical documentation and comfortable liaising with suppliers.
  • Must be based in Coventry or the surrounding areas and able to commute to the office daily.
  • Candidates with hands-on experience looking to move off the tools are encouraged to apply.
