Role
About Project Dog:
Project Dog is a groundbreaking research programme dedicated to understanding the diverse roles and responsibilities of dog guardians. With a focus on the human-dog relationship, the project aims to enhance our understanding of how dog guardians manage canine behaviour and promote well-being for both humans and dogs. Through an evidence-based approach, we explore key factors that shape these relationships to inform future guidelines and practices. These include understanding the spectrum of dog behaviour and human expectations, examining the impact and effect of dog behaviour on human health, wellbeing, and successful guardianship, and developing interventions to support human-dog matching, health, wellbeing, and successful guardianship.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Research Assistant to join the Project Dog team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting literature searches and assisting with the design of a survey aimed at assessing the capabilities of dog guardians in managing their dogs' behaviour. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and innovative research programme that explores the human-dog dynamic and provides valuable insights to enhance the success of dog guardianship.
Why Join Us?:
By joining Project Dog, you will have the opportunity to work on a dynamic, evidence-based programme that aims to improve the lives of both dog guardians and their canine companions. You’ll gain hands-on experience in survey design, literature research, and human-animal interaction studies, all while contributing to cutting-edge work in the field
