Description

Role
The Student Welcome and Induction Team are recruiting two Student Welcome and Induction Assistants (Events). Assistants will contribute to the planning and delivery of events and communications for this year's welcome at Bloomsbury and UCL East. In the role, you will work across many projects at once. Working on induction talks for new students, you’ll support student presenters as they rehearse. Then, watch backstage as they deliver the talk you helped organise to 100s of new students. You’ll assist with drafting social media posts and event materials. You'll work with UCL Staff to train Welcome Ambassadors and brief them on the day's events.

Duties and responsibilities
The skills you’ll gain in this role like, event management and administration will all have a real-world impact. So, a strong attention to detail is vital. You'll check shared inboxes, reply to students, and update websites and event pages. As you’ll be working with lots of people, being a team player is important. You’ll enjoy brainstorming and problem solving with the Student Welcome and Induction Team when things change. Especially on campus supporting Welcome Ambassadors, managing queues and helpdesks.
