Unitemps is seeking a Student Recruitment Project Assistant to support the Directorate of Marketing, Recruitment and External Relations team at the University of Salford. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with experience studying at the University of Salford to join a friendly, fast-paced Student Recruitment Team on a fixed-term basis until 31 July 2025.

The Student Recruitment and Widening Participation Team provides impartial Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) to prospective students, helping them make informed decisions about higher education.

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic and creative, who understands the undergraduate recruitment journey and can communicate, engage, and inspire prospective students and their supporters.

Duties and responsibilities

• Represent the University at UCAS exhibitions and college fairs across the UK.

• Deliver presentations and one-to-one guidance to prospective students and their families.

• Set up and take down recruitment equipment at events (training provided).

• Work on internal projects aimed at improving student recruitment processes and engagement.

• Support the delivery of information to prospective students across digital and in-person platforms.

• Work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends, with some overnight travel required.

• Maintain accurate records, manage time effectively, and work independently as well as part of a team.

Skills and experience

• A recent graduate or someone who has studied at the University of Salford.

• Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.

• Experience delivering information, advice or guidance.

• Familiarity with the UK education system (ages 11–18).

• Understanding of the undergraduate applicant journey.

• A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Strong initiative, time management and project coordination skills.

Pay

  • Any timesheets submitted and approved in time for the payroll deadline will be paid into your bank account on the last working day of the month.
