We are seeking a skilled and motivated research assistant to support a funded project within the School of Nursing and Advanced practice.This project is seeking to enhance student experience at LJMU and to improve student retention. We are seeking a research assistant with experience of organising and conducting focus groups and analysing data to assist the research team with this exciting project.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collection of research data via focus groups.
- Literature review (undertaking a search across databases).
- Contributing to the preparation of results for internal/external audiences.
- Carrying out administrative tasks related to the delivery of the research.
Skills and experience
- Hold a Masters degree in a relevant field.
- Working towards a doctorate.
- Experience of organising and conducting focus groups, transcribing, theming and performing literature reviews using relevant databases..
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to assimilate and present data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word and Excel and NVIVO (or similar).
- Enthusiastic and quick to learn.
