Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Media Lecturer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a relevant degree in Media who are eager to share their knowledge and guide students through exciting and meaningful projects. While extensive teaching experience is not required, a strong understanding of media production processes and enthusiasm for education are essential.
Duties and responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons and workshops to Level 3 Year 1 and Year 2 Media students.
- Support students through all stages of media production, including brief interpretation, ideation, pre-production, production, and post-production.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students develop their technical and creative skills.
- Assess student work and contribute to their summative assessments.
- Work collaboratively with the media department to ensure a high standard of teaching and learning.
Skills and experience
- A relevant degree in Media or a closely related field.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and supporting students in a creative learning environment.
- Practical experience in media production, including video production, editing, and storytelling techniques.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Availability to teach on Tuesday mornings (essential).
Desirable:
- Prior teaching experience in a media-related subject.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software and equipment.
- Knowledge of current media trends and storytelling techniques.
