Our client are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining their network infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment to ensure optimal network performance and security.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, and wireless networks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Monitor network security and implement best practices to protect against cyber threats.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and other network hardware.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support and improve system integration.
  • Perform regular network assessments, updates, and optimizations.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams.

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols
  • Understanding of network security best practices and risk management.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
