Role
*Ringfenced to LJMU students*
We are looking for an intern with lived experience of mental health challenges to create a range of resources for Student Futures, this may include content for our webpages and other helpful materials (such as videos, blogs, and guides). These resources will support students and graduates who have experienced mental health difficulties, helping them prepare for the workplace, consider their careers plans and have a greater appreciation of support and opportunities available to them. The role may involve conducting research to better understand student needs and providing advice to assist Student Futures services
Duties and responsibilities
- To co-create resources suitable and accessible for students and graduates experiencing mental health difficulties (this could be using various media, e.g. videos, website content, social media platforms).
- Co-creation will involve contributing to the development of these resources, working with experienced Student Futures colleagues.
- To provide feedback and insights regarding the accessibility and effectiveness of Student Futures resources and services (through focus groups, surveys or individual feedback).
Skills and experience
We are looking for students who:
- have experienced mental health challenges
- can demonstrate creativity, effective communication skills and the ability to produce content for resources (e.g. website information, social media posts, blogs, videos, etc.)
- have a desire to help other students and an eagerness to assist Student Futures in creating accessible and effective resources
