Role

Unitemps are recruiting for a UCL Student Champion. This role is suitable for current UCL Students only. This is a part-time role at 2 hours per week. This role is for May 20th (TBC) and has a projected end date of until June 17th 2025 (TBC). Payment is set at £14.64 per hour + holiday pay. This role will be hybrid working with part at a photography studio in east London (2 hours), and part from home creating supporting content about your experience of UCL.
 

We are developing this year’s 'Make Your Master’s matter' UCL student recruitment advertising campaign, and we’re looking for UCL Master's students to take part.

As a UCL Student Champion you will take part in a photoshoot with a leading photographer, supported by a make-up artist and stylist in a professional studio. The images from the photoshoot will be used in UCL advertising visuals to convey the individuality, personality and uniqueness of UCL's students.

You will also produce a series of content about your experience of studying at UCL, including reflections on extracurricular activities you undertook such as Career Services support, career networking events , student community events, and student life in London.

Additional details:

  • The deadline for applications is midnight 22 April.
  • Please note to be eligible to work within this role, you must have the right to work in the UK, and be physically based in the UK.

Duties and responsibilities

  • You will need to travel to our London based office for a Right to Work check (if required).
  • You will also be required to travel to east London for a photo shoot.
  • The written content can be produced remotely, without the need to travel to campus.

Skills and experience

  • You must be a current UCL postgraduate taught student.
  • You can be either a UK or international. International students will be required to work hours in line with their student visa if relevant.
  • You will have an enthusiasm for UCL and for promoting the university to future students.
  • You will have excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You must be available for a photoshoot in East London in late May (date TBC)
  • You will be embracing the opportunities that studying at UCL presents, eg taking part in: career networking events, career advice sessions, societies and student communities, the student ambassador programme.
