Description

Role
We are looking for an intern to work with an SME based near Canterbury on completing a requirements analysis. The business is an online retailor who will be bringing their customer database in-house and require assistance in the development of a set of new management reports. The reports may in the future be used to feed into a real-time web-based KPI dashboard. 

 
This internship can be done on an 8-week part time basis for a student or a 4-week full-time basis for a graduate.

Duties and responsibilities
A single report will be completed that could be used in the future as a robust project initiation document (PID). This would be used to inform a larger-scale project focused on the design, implement and testing of the reports and dashboard solution.

 
The successful candidate would be expected to complete the following:
  • Meet with the business and get an understanding of their existing database and the challenges they face with regards to management reports.
  • Assess their current approach for the creation of their existing reports and identify any potential new reports that would be of use to the business.
  • Finalise a full set of requirements to form part of a robust PID that includes recommendations for how to address the challenges identified as part of the internship.

Skills and experience

  • An understanding of how to conduct and document a requirements analysis.
  • Ideally studying a relevant course
  • Must be a CCCU student or graduate.
