This project is a collaboration between LJMU (LBS, Education, Biological & Environmental Sciences), Responsible Project Management, Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Portsmouth. 

Duties and responsibilities
The role is to undertake a baseline systematic literature review to generate understanding of the concept of Sustainable Project Management in the context of contemporary practice. The RA will identify themes and factors which increase knowledge of the concept and enable the research team to design data collection and analysis stages. 

Skills and experience

  • Hold or working towards a PhD level degree in a relevant field such as sustainability, project management, business management, education, environmental or biological sciences.
  • Experience of undertaking literature reviews at doctoral level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to pro-actively manage research tasks and activities
  • Proficiency in reading, speaking and writing English Able to analyse and combine information from several types of papers, documents and data.
  • Able to conduct data extraction and produce a PRISMA diagram to demonstrate review process undertaken that is of publishable quality. Understand, synthesise and articulate the extant literature and undertake analysis of selected review papers
  • Knowledge and/or understanding of relevant initiatives, policies, professional standards, regulations, models, management and approaches relating to, sustainability, project management, and/or nature recovery
  • Experience working with stakeholders, academic researchers, practitioners, including external organisations or an interest in practices, practice-led spaces, or nature-based industries. 
  • Able to work with minimum supervision, highly motivated  and able to work both independently and in collaboration with others.
