Our prestigious client is one of Staffordshire and Cheshires leading providers PE and sports in schools.  This rapidly expanding business and are looking to recruit two part-time primary educator/sports coach  to help them to continue to provide their outstanding work improving the lives of children and families through PE and sporty while promoting well-being to over 7,500 children and families a week.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high quality services across primary schools and the wider community in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. This includes teaching the National PE curriculum, facilitating health and wellbeing workshops, and contributing to the success of our school holiday kids' camps.

The hours are  15-25 per week Monday to Friday and flexible during term-time and school holidays, with a salary of £23,000 to £25,000 (pro rata)

Duties and responsibilities

  • PE and Extra-Curricular Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons and extra-curricular activities that inspire and motivate children.
  • Kids Camp Coordination: Support the planning and running of school holiday kids' camps, ensuring a high-quality experience for participants.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with schools and community groups to promote participation and inclusion.
  • Safeguarding and Inclusion: Ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all children by addressing barriers to participation.
  • Behaviour Management: Foster a positive learning atmosphere by effectively managing behaviour and encouraging respectful interactions.
  • Professional Development: Attend training sessions and continuously develop skills to maintain high standards in delivery.
  • Role Model and Ambassador: Embody company values by being a positive role model and ambassador.
  • Promotion and Marketing: Assist in promoting services through social media and community engagement.

Skills and experience

  • A degree or working towards a degree in PE/Sports Coaching  and/or a B’Ed or PGCE with QTS or a Level 4 School Sports Coach 
  • Qualification.Strong class/group behaviour management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of child development and the National Curriculum for Physical Education from EYFS-KS2.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience delivering curriculum PE in primary schools
  • Knowledge of how to live a healthy lifestyle.
  • GCSE Maths and English (minimum Grade C or 4).
  • Passion for inspiring children through PE, physical activity, and sport.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Hard-working and adaptable.A team player with a customer-focused mindset.
  • A driving license and vehicle.

Desirable

  • Level 2 Multi-Skills and/or other sports coaching qualifications.
  • Paediatric First Aid.
  • Level 2 Safeguarding Children in Sport.
  • Interest in health-related physical activity, healthy eating, and behaviour change.
