Description
Role
Well-being intervention aimed at Canterbury Christ Church University students studying at the Canterbury, Medway or Tunbridge Wells campus.
This project, led by the Ipsos Policy and Evaluation Unit in collaboration with Dr Emma Broglia (University of Sheffield) and with Dr Denise Meyer, aims to rigorously evaluate mental health and wellbeing interventions in higher education using quasi-experimental methods. The project will examine the impact and outcomes of interventions being piloted by three higher education providers (HEPs), including Canterbury Christ Church University. These interventions—including curriculum-based changes, compassionate communication strategies, and whole-provider approaches—will be evaluated for their impacts on key student outcomes, such as well-being, engagement, and wider university experience. The findings will provide evidence-based insights to inform effective, scalable practices for supporting student wellbeing across the sector.
The project is funded by Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO, https://taso.org.uk/) and is led by Dr Denise Meyer, Directorstudentwellbeing@canterbury.ac.uk in the Student Wellbeing, Community & Belonging directorate.
