We are looking for a creative and proactive intern to help grow our online presence and raise the profile of the Natural Curriculum Hub in the School of Education. This role is ideal for a student interested in social media, digital marketing, education, and environmental advocacy. The intern will be responsible for increasing engagement across social media platforms, promoting the Hub’s blog, and developing an outward-facing profile to connect with schools, educators, key stakeholders in outdoor learning, and educational policy-makers.

Duties and responsibilities
1. Social Media Growth & Engagement

• Develop and implement a strategy to increase followers and engagement across social media platforms (e.g. Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, BlueSky).
• Create and schedule engaging content (posts, images, videos, stories) to promote outdoor learning initiatives and the Natural Curriculum Hub.
• Actively interact with educators, schools, and stakeholders through comments, shares, and discussions.
 
2. Blog Promotion & Content Support
• Raise the profile of the Natural Curriculum Hub blog by promoting posts on social media and education networks.
• Identify opportunities to share blog content with relevant communities, websites, and organisations.
• Work with contributors to enhance content visibility through SEO best practices and strategic posting.
 
3. Outreach & Stakeholder Engagement
• Develop a more outward-facing profile for the Hub by networking with schools, outdoor learning advocates, and education policy-makers.
• Identify key stakeholders and influencers in outdoor learning and engage them through social media and direct outreach.
• Support partnerships and collaborations with organisations promoting outdoor education.

Skills and experience
• Currently enrolled at LJMU at level 7 or above (preferably in marketing, communications, education, environmental studies, or a related field).

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends
.• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to create engaging and visually appealing content.
• Passion for education, outdoor learning, and sustainability.
• Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently.
