THE ROLE
The CEM Faculty at De Montfort University are looking to recruit a Programme Coordinator.
As a member of the programmes administration team, the post holder will provide administrative support to a large number and wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate partnership programmes within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media.
The post holder will work closely with academic staff and administrative colleagues to ensure effective administration for c.2000 students. This is a client-focussed role and the post holder can expect to have a large amount of direct contact with corporate clients, employers and students
The post reports directly to the Faculty Office Team Leader.

This role is a Hyrbrid based role working 37 hours Monday to Friday, with 2 days being on campus.
Duties and responsibilities
Student Records
• Maintain secure student records, (both past and present) in paper and electronic versions, to conform to University and Faculty protocols and the General Data Protection Regulations.
Assessment and Progression
• Prepare and circulate marks sheets to tutors.
• Collate and follow up outstanding results.
• Input and check results to databases.
• Prepare assessment board reports.
• Action changes resulting from assessment boards.
• Prepare pass lists for approval by assessment board Chairs.
• Prepare and issue student notifications and transcripts.
• Advise students, clients, employers and academic staff on points relating to assessment policy, procedure and regulation as operated at Programme, Department, Faculty and University level.
• Co-ordinate student assessment and re-assessment in modules taken by students.
Committee Servicing Service various Faculty committees and Validations, as follows:-
• Prepare agendas and supporting papers in liaison with the Chair and disseminate to members.
• Produce and prepare accurate minutes and action plans as required.
• Advise on points relating to policy, procedure and regulations.
• Execute administrative action arising from committee decisions as appropriate.
Management Information and data checking
• Assist with the verification of Faculty curriculum stored on the University database.
• Verify and correct student data as appropriate, in accordance with University requirements.
• Ensure that data checking reports are checked regularly to maintain accurate data
Quality Assurance
• Maintain a working knowledge of quality assurance policies and procedures.
Skills and experience
Qualifications and Training
Educated to A level standard with grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications / experience).
Knowledge and Experience
Significant experience of working in a similar post and/or level, within a customer-facing office environment
Experience of complex administrative and data management systems
Experience of working in a team and of working independently
Experience of liaising with a variety of stakeholders
Specific Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities/Motivation/Attitude required
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
Experience of using spreadsheets and large databases.
Ability to work quickly and accurately, with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, and to prioritise tasks accordingly.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Professional and approachable manner at all times.
Willingness to be flexible towards duties and adaptable towards change.
Pro-active approach towards workload
Understands confidentiality and the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations
Experience of interpreting and complying with complex procedures or regulations.
