Role
*Ringfenced to LJMU students only*

 
An hourly based intern is required for a project regarding development of surface enhanced infrared and Raman spectroscopic methods for detecting drugs in oral fluid in case of roadside drug testing. 

Duties and responsibilities
The project will be conducted over 6 weeks and involves laboratory work. The approach is as follows:- Optimisation of the instrumental / procedural settings and library building using pure substances, mixtures and drug solutions. 

- Development of the SEIRA and SERS enhancement for minimum five drugs / metabolites at 10 different concentrations.- Datasets building and validation.
