Role

Our Client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment Coordinator to support their HR Team in all aspects of recruitment administration. This role involves acting as the first point of contact for candidates, recruitment agencies, and internal stakeholders while ensuring a smooth and professional hiring process from initial enquiry to onboarding.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for candidates and recruitment agencies, handling queries and escalating as necessary
  • Manage recruitment documentation, including printing, processing applications, and maintaining the HR tracker
  • Review applications for completeness, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment policies
  • Request and follow up on missing candidate information to ensure timely shortlisting
  • Work closely with the Recruitment Advisor to share potential candidates and compile shortlisting documents
  • Coordinate interview scheduling, including room bookings, calendar management, and interview invites
  • Prepare and distribute interview packs, ensuring all necessary documents are included
  • Manage and distribute Criminal Records Declarations to candidates and agencies before interviews
  • Welcome and assist candidates during interviews, conducting ID checks in line with Safer Recruitment practices
  • Support with interview coordination, including assessment processes and panel scheduling
  • Maintain and update job advertisements to attract the best candidates
  • Draft and send offer letters to successful candidates once finalised
  • Lead the referencing process, ensuring timely collection of employment references and other pre-employment checks
  • Conduct new starter check-in meetings, gathering feedback and sharing insights with the HR Team
  • Compile induction packs and assist with first-day HR inductions
  • Ensure compliance with safer recruitment legislation and Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance
  • Provide general administrative support to the Recruitment and HR Team as needed

Skills and experience

  • Strong administrative skills with experience in HR or recruitment administration
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with candidates and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of safer recruitment practices is desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR tracking systems
