Description

Role
The University of Edinburgh’s Information Services Group (ISG) invites applications from undergraduate students interested in working this summer as one of two Marketing and Communications Interns. The key purpose of this role is to create digital content to support the promotion of cloud-based coding/computational notebooks platform, Noteable, to lecturers and learning technologists, and to promote the AI platform ELM (Edinburgh access to a Language Model) to other educational institutions.

Within this role, you will gain practical experience in digital and video content creation, and providing social media management support. The skills you will develop by completing this internship include project management, content creation, and marketing and communication analysis reporting. You will join the Business Development team who are responsible for selling EDINA’s portfolio of services and products to other Higher Education and Further Education Institutions in the UK, as well as international universities.

You can expect to start work on the 2nd June 2025 and work until the 22nd August 2025, with a possibility of being extended into term-time. You will work between a minimum of 25 to a maximum of 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) in a hybrid working pattern split between working from home (commutable distance from Edinburgh), and in Argyle House. Your preference on working hours within the above range can be discussed during the interview stage. If this role is extended, you will work a maximum of 15 hours per week during term-time. You will be paid £13.94 per hour, plus £2.52 per hour holiday pay. Payment is one month in arrears, meaning your first payment date (should this position start when expected) will be 28th July 2025.
