STEM Women run graduate careers events and promote jobs aimed at university students and recent graduates who identify as women or non-binary, and are aiming to work in a STEM related-sector; science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Since 2018, STEM Women have held over 90 inspiring face-to-face and virtual events, introducing attendees to graduate employers across the UK, Ireland, wider Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Our events are free for attendees and feature live networking with top employers, inspiring speakers’ sessions, panel sessions with representatives working in STEM and access to exciting roles and opportunities. As Event Marketing and Communications intern at STEM Women, you would be supporting our work in increasing the representation of women and non-binary people in STEM, by promoting our events through a wide range of advertising and marketing channels including social media channels.

Duties and responsibilities
The duties of this role will be varied and will include digital campaign-building and sourcing via LinkedIn, creating blog content and researching relevant themes for STEM Women’s organisational webpages along with external blog opportunities, assisting with social media campaigns and creating digital media assets along with other marketing and communications activities. We may also invite the intern(s) to be part of one of our events in either London and/or Manchester February 2025.

Skills and experience
This role would be suitable for someone with an interest in marketing and communications, social media, or events, and/or an interest in equality, diversity and inclusion in STEM, but is open to students from any discipline. Candidates should have a creative and proactive approach along with the ability to work well in a team.
