Role
We are looking for a creative and motivated Student Ambassador to launch, manage, and grow an Instagram channel for the School of Policy & Global Affair ( SPGA) student community. This role is ideal for a student passionate about social media, content creation, and student engagement.
Duties and responsibilities
The ambassador will be responsible for creating content, running the account, and promoting it to increase student awareness and community engagement.
Skills and experience
- Develop engaging posts, stories, and reels showcasing student events, opportunities, and community highlights.
- Regularly update and monitor the Instagram channel, ensuring a consistent and professional online presence.
- Actively promote the channel to students, societies, and staff to grow followers and encourage interaction.
- Work with student societies, the Associate Dean (Student Experience) , and the employability team to feature relevant content.
- Capture and share live content from key events, including student society activities and SPGA-led initiatives.
- Stay up to date with social media trends to maximize reach and engagement.
- Must be a current SPGA student.
- Strong understanding of Instagram and social media best practices.
- Creative mindset with good photography, video editing, and writing skills.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Interest in student engagement and community building.
- Prior experience in social media management or content creation is a plus but not required.
