THE ROLE

The International Office at De Montfort University are looking to recruit a International Recruitment Officer to work 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. 

The working hours are as follows: 

Mon and Fri – 09:00 to 17:00 (one hour lunch) Tues, Wed and Thurs – 08:45 to 17:15 (one hour lunch)

The role is hybrid with at least 2 days on campus per week, one of these days will be a Thursday. 

Expected start date: 10th March 2025

Expected end date: 27th June 2025

Closing date: 24th Feb 2025

Rate of pay: £16.26

Duties and responsibilities
•    Effectively promote and sell DMU to international recruitment partners, Students and overseas institutions.

•    Handle high volumes of emails, WhatsApp messages, and calls from agents, students, and other DMU stakeholders, both directed the team email inbox and to you.
•    Maintain and update complex internal recruitment trackers and spreadsheets accurately.
•    Update additional non regional team trackers and input spreadsheets (e.g., credibility invites, priority lists, CAS requests).
•    Liaise with other teams (finance, credibility, etc.) to coordinate information, data and share.
•    Deliver online presentations on DMU offerings to partner organisations and effectively answer follow-up questions to enhance DMU's appeal.
•    Conduct one-on-one meetings with senior management and owners of recruitment partner organisations.
•    Participate in recruitment webinars and online education fairs to effectively promote DMU to international students so they want to join the university 
•    Represent the regional team in internal international office meetings and cover for team management when they are unavailable.
•    Share relevant data and insights from regional trackers with other DMU teams as needed.
•    Draft and send communications via email and WhatsApp to individuals and groups, ensuring accurate data retrieval from trackers for send groups.
•    Have the ability to quickly gain with DMU support an in depth understanding of UKVI compliance and support ensuring the university is protected from supporting non genuine students from applying or enrolling at the institution.
•    While not a formal job requirement, the successful candidate should be willing & able to travel to RoSA countries (particularly Pakistan and Bangladesh) if needed. 

Skills and experience
•  Educated to degree level or equivalent desirable

.•  Strong knowledge of the Rest of South Asia (RoSA) region, specifically Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal
.•  Proven ability to work effectively within a small team to achieve or exceed shared objectives and targets
.•  Project management skills, including creativity, problem-solving, and a flexible approach to challenges
.•  Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and adapt to diverse audiences.
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
•  Strong cultural awareness and understanding, with the ability to leverage this knowledge in building relationships with international partners
.•  Commercial acumen, including negotiation skills and the ability to develop strategic account plans with partners
.•  Awareness of DMU’s values and international outlook, with a commitment to aligning work with these principles.

Location
De Montfort University - Hybrid, with at least two days working from Campus per week (one of these days to be Thursday)
