Role
Carry out the role of a bookkeeper, using software (Xero, QuickBooks, Excel) to create VAT returns. Supporting a team of accountants and bookkeepers at a busy and growing accountancy practice.

Duties and responsibilities

  • As an assistant bookkeeper, you will be responsible for looking after a wide range of clients, 
  • Ensuring that VAT returns are completed in a timely fashion.
  • You will communicate with your clients, building a strong relationship with them,
  • Balancing bank statements and Trial Balances for the accounts team. T
  • Training clients to ensure they are using software correctly.
  • Helping to modernise practices and migrate more clients to using software.
  • Full training will be given on these tasks.

     

Skills and experience

  • Assistant Bookkeeper will have a good head for figures and be finished College and looking for their next steps in the Accountancy field.
  • A thorough understanding of Excel.
  • Will be training in the use of Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Good written and spoken English.

Additional information

Predominantly office based, in our offices in Hednesford. Hybrid working is an option.
