Unitemps is seeking a talented and innovative Content Systems Administrator to join a dynamic team at the University of Salford. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing content strategy across various platforms. This role requires a creative individual with a strong understanding of SEO best practices and social media management. The Content Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in enhancing our client's online presence and engaging target audience through compelling content. This consists of localised Facebook groups connected to a digital platform hosting local and general resources. Each local group has a dedicated microsite, which bring together information on local services. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • You will collaborate closely with the local site, the information curator and your team to deliver high-quality content that drives patient engagement and a positive experience. 
  • The role is fast-paced, and we expect a high degree of independent working and initiative to launch new sites in a timely manner. 
  • You will be part of a friendly team with a great work ethic, dedicated to making a difference. 
  • Maintain and update digital content across our platform, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with client's content standards. 
  • Coordinate with the information curator and local site representatives to ensure that the content is collected to high standards. 
  • Manage the content lifecycle, including creation, publishing, and archiving. 
  • Implement SEO best practices to ensure content is optimized for search engines. 
  • Support with responding to general enquiries and troubleshooting. 
  • Liaise with developers to update platform features. 
  • Manage workload and prioritise activity in line with the role demands 
  • Identify and create information on different formats (e.g. podcast, flyers). 
  • Undertake all administrative work in relation to the role as necessary, for example: weekly and monthly updates, updating project status report.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company's marketing goals. 
  • Create, edit, and publish high-quality content across multiple channels, including websites, blogs, and social media platforms. 
  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies to improve organic search visibility. 
  • Manage social media accounts by creating engaging posts and monitoring audience interaction. 
  • Oversee the production of multimedia content, including photography and video, to enhance storytelling efforts. 
  • Analyse content performance metrics using Google Analytics to inform future content decisions. 

Skills and experience

  • We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced administrator, who will be responsible for managing and optimising digital content across the platform and main social media platforms. This role involves ensuring a seamless, consistent, and engaging members experience across all channels. 
  • Strong understanding of SEO techniques and best practices for web content optimisation. 
  • Familiarity with HTML for basic website editing tasks. 
  • Experience in social media management and developing engaging campaigns across various platforms. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to manage projects independently. 
  • Previous experience using Wordpress and Elementor is advantageous.
