Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and engaging students to support Student Recruitment and Marketing within Teesside University. Predominantly, you will be creating engaging content for use across digital platforms, to help to inspire the next generation of Teesside University home and international students, sharing your experiences and giving insight into what it's like to live and study on Teesside.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support the University’s marketing team to plan, develop, execute and evaluate a range of content initiatives to help inspire the next generation of Teesside University home and international students
- Pitch content ideas that are broadly aligned the University’s recruitment content strategy themes, on topics such as:
- a day in the life of a Teesside University student
- your student experience
- why study at Teesside University (and in the North East of England)
- why study your chosen course at Teesside University
- top tips on student life.
- Support the delivery of the University’s recruitment content strategy, ensuring a vibrant, supportive and consistent tone of voice across our marketing collateral and digital platforms including social media, The Vibe student blog and podcasts
- Create content for use across a range of digital channels, focusing primarily on blogs and vlogs, social media videos, live Q&As, social media takeovers, live streaming, podcasts and photo diaries
- Keep up-to-date with the latest marketing trends to inform the development and delivery of cutting-edge content
Skills and experience
We are looking for students who have a keen interest in digital content production and who are enthusiastic about Teesside University. Those who have an understanding of the questions prospective students may ask would do particularly well in this post, as well as an understanding of the right tone to use in communicating with your audience. You must be committed to the University's mission and values.
- Good grasp of social media platforms
- Experience of videography and/or photography
- Ability to write compelling and engaging copy, as well as effective story telling/working within a narrative
- Experience of audio and video recording and editing
- Content research skills and audience knowledge
- Excellent communications/interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Fantastic organisation and time management skills
