Description

Role
To co-ordinate and drive the culture for environmental and sustainability practices across the business, to advise and raise awareness of internal process improvements. To liaise with management across the business, to support external audits regarding environmental and sustainability, able to create reportable information for the business or external bodies. To assist the Health & Safety, Environmental and Facilities Manager with health and safety activities

Duties and responsibilities

  • To drive external and internal audits regarding environmental and sustainability.
  • Keep up to date figures for external reportables such as WRAP, Sedex, BRC and Manufacture 2030.
  • Keep the Companies COSHH records and assessments up to date
  • Develop and manage the Company Business continuity plan
  • Liaise with management across the team to identify and improve environmental and sustainability processes.
  • Coordinate and manage the companies waste management
  • Create environmental or sustainability policies and procedures.
  • Creating environmental and sustainability risk assessments or impact assessments for the business
  • Prioritise workloads and able to work independently or in a team
  • Creating reportable figures for the business.
  • Keeping up to date with Legislation and Regulatory changes with regards to Environmental and Sustainability.
  • Supporting or chairing Environmental and Sustainability meeting or committee meetings.
  • Help advise and support the business with environmental and sustainability information.

Skills and experience

  • Background in Health & Safety management
  • Solution Driven
  • Can demonstrate knowledge of Environmental and Sustainable Management.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience of compiling and presenting presentations to groups and key stake holders.
  • Must hold A-C GCSE grades in Mathematics and English or equivalent.
  • Ideally holds the NEBOSH Environmental Management qualification or similar, alternatively willing to attain this qualification.
  • Passionate about supporting the drive for continuous areas of improvement.
  • Must be an excellent communicator at all levels and via written, verbal and face to face methods.

Additional information

  • Salary: 26k-28k
  • Start date: with immediate effect.
