Role

Unitemps are recruiting for a Project Manager within the Neurodegenerative Disease department. The role is to work ASAP and will run until 31st July part time at 20 hours per week. Payment is set at £32.33 + holiday pay per hour and the role will be HOME based.

The UCL Department of Neurodegenerative Disease is a hub for clinical research into various forms of dementia with a particular focus on identifying and understanding the disease processes that cause dementia, the factors that influence these disease processes, and how best to support people with dementia and their families. 
 
In addition to our research, we also provide a cognitive disorders clinic within the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN); research is embedded into the UCLH clinic so that all patients have the opportunity to participate. The trials team has a world leading reputation in the conduct of trials in dementias, including Alzheimer’s disease and frontotemporal dementia, plus genetic forms of dementia.

Duties and responsibilities

We are looking for someone with workforce planning experience to help with the set up of a new research centre. 

The main duties include:

  • Assessing current skills mix in team
  • Planning recruitment strategy
  • Drafting job descriptions, personal specifications and adverts according to relevant templates
  • Liaising with local HR teams and managing the advertising process
  • Lead on shortlisting candidates
  • Take part in interviews as required
  • Onboard new members of staff

Skills and experience

  • Previous Human Resource and workforce planning experience
  • Experience of NHS and/or university HR
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using digital platforms and MS office applications
  • A proactive approach to task completion and process enhancement.
  • Excellent communication skills
