Role

 
Working with our client is more than just a coding job. It’s all about ensuring your customer’s success through system planning, system architecture, project management and technical expertise. It’s working with a world class development team to provide feedback on product functionality and architecture. It’s coming up with solutions to problems never faced before.   

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure Sensor Magic provides innovative, rapid system deployments for its customers, without sacrificing quality and performance.
  • Develop solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure quality control of completed project prior to customer installation.
  • Help with diagnosis and resolution of system issues in an advisory role to the Support Desk.
  • Be aware of existing and future products, making suggestions to appropriate staff for suitability, expansion of and modification of product range as appropriate.
  • Liaise and attend meetings with the other company functions as necessary to perform duties and to aid business development.
  • Attend training, in order to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

Skills and experience

  • Good PHP knowledge with object orientated programming techniques.
  • Web Technologies – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery.
  • Web services – (Soap / XML).
  • Implementing web services (in addition to consuming) and knowledge of other W/S types is an advantage.
  • Strong MySQL skills.
  • Database design & optimisation skills an advantage.
  • Linux (CentOS/Red Hat) & Lamp experience.
  • Familiarity with Version Control (GIT in use)
  • Excellent communication skills are also needed as you will need to demonstrate your enthusiasm and desire to succeed.

Location
Remote working but they do have offices on campus which you are welcome to use
