Description
Role
The Faculty of Arts has funding to deliver 4 inclusive education projects. The projects are diverse, including enhancing digital skills for Arts and Humanities students, student network groups, implementing recommendations from the recent Best Practice Toolkit report, and the organisation of a Faculty-wide conference on inclusive education for interested staff and students.
Working in conjunction with Faculty Directors of Student Experience and Progression, the Project Officers will have the opportunity to develop research proposals, conduct literature and/or data reviews within their project area, coordinate student participants for focus groups, and organise events. Project officers will bring together the experience and findings from their involvement in the project(s) to contribute to Faculty wide reports, which will help identify future directions for departmental and wider inclusive education plans as well as proposing opportunities for future activities and actions.

Duties and responsibilities
Indicative list of duties:
- Design and develop a project brief and plan with the guidance of the Faculty DSEPs.
- Conduct a brief literature and/or data review on the allocated topic.
- Devise, recruit and run a series of student focus groups to work on themes related to the allocated topic.
- Plan, organise and promote events for the Inclusive Education Conference.
- Present the results of the allocated project to the DSEP team and other members of the Faculty.
- Work collaboratively with the other Project Officers and DSEPs to make sure the overall project is on target, sharing the collective learning from each of the project strands and bringing the results together into a single report.
- Disseminate the results of the project to departments and students.
- Work closely with the DSEPs and other staff in the Faculty of Arts to deliver the project.
Skills and experience
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Current Warwick students with A-level or equivalent qualification.
- An understanding and passion for inclusivity and diversity in education.
- A familiarity with the student experience and learning requirements of Arts and Humanities subjects.
- An understanding of and engagement with digital technology and its use to support the student experience and learning and teaching.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to work with student participants and staff on student experience projects.
- Good project management skills.
- Good time management and working collaboratively as a team on collective goals.
- Good research and problem-solving skills to deal with difficult situations autonomously as they arise.
Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with strategy, processes and practices at the University of Warwick.
- Experience of conducting student research within a Higher Education setting.
- Good IT skills for co-creating the online web content for the final report and toolkit.
