Role

We are looking for an intern to work for a British equestrian saddle company based in Kent. The saddles have numerous patents and are truly unique in the technology they offer both horse and rider. They are at the forefront of the saddlery industry leading with its expertise to maximize the comfort of the horse and are sold worldwide.

The company has a range of patented saddlery products that are unique and provide both considerable welfare benefits to the horse and performance improvement giving a massive range of topics to write about.  

We need a confident, proactive and outgoing person who is passionate about both horses and marketing with particular emphasis on the use of social media and video presentations. 

Duties and responsibilities

The position is varied and busy with an endless list of projects as well as daily content.  You will never be bored and have freedom to run your day as you wish but will be based in our head office in a rural location just outside Canterbury.

This is a position where you will have considerable freedom to develop ideas and create content that is eye striking, and most importantly will promote our ethos for use on social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, as well as on the web site, trade stands and other uses.  

Other duties: 

In addition to the creative part of the position, you will supervise develop and maintain the WOW saddle web sites and shop hosted on WIX. In addition to planning and editing film scripts and posting, planning and creating social content daily photography and videoing will be required.  

Skills and experience

You will work closely with the M.D. to create marketing and educational presentations used worldwide but are expected to be able to take an idea and develop it .  

Essential criteria:

  • An understanding of marketing methods, Mailchimp, social media and marketing affiliates
  • Previous experience using social media, taking photos/videos.
  • Able to come up with ideas and work also with our ideas for content
  • Knowledge of the equestrian industry

 

Desirable criteria:

  • A marketing background/degree would be beneficial
  • Experience using WIX or similar website builder experience
  • Experience in using the adobe suite of products for video and photo editing. 
In summary, We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive thinking, and service orientated candidate who will think forward to improve our customer communication , backing up what we think are the best saddlery products made worldwide.

Additional information

There is opportunity for this role to be extended further than the 4 week part time/8 week full-time.

Please note: the role will be based in a rural location so own transport is essential.
