Description
Role
To prepare, deliver and set up all requirements for Warwick food and drink in line with the service standards and daily function sheets. This will include the preparation and service of formal lunches, buffets and refreshment services. This includes hot beverages, drinks receptions of both alcoholic and no-alcoholic, hot buffets and all associated equipment. This role requires the use of a University vehicle so it is mandatory to have a full driving licence.
Duties and responsibilities
- Preparation and service of food and beverages in line with the service standards for each event, covering term and vacation business. This will include the preparation and service of formal lunches, dinners, buffets and refreshment services that has been requested by the client and delivered in a specific time frame
- Provide a courteous and efficient service to all our customers in line with Warwick Conferences Customer Service Programme.
- Cleaning and maintenance of all equipment, kitchens and service areas, in line with cleaning schedules.
- To work in any area of Warwick food and drink, including Conference Park & Events, according to the demands of the business.
- Basic food preparation and buffet compilation as detailed by the Warwick food and drink menu. This includes drinks receptions, hot buffets, BBQ operations and equipment, dependant on the business needs.
- Maintain a safe working environment by observing Health and Safety Regulations and other relevant Food Hygiene legislation.
- Commitment to your personal training and assistance with coaching of new employees, including casual staff and colleagues from other departments.
- Any other reasonable requests to maintain standards
- Responsibility for the vehicle that has been assigned to you, by the Warwick Food & Drink duty management, on a daily basis as well as all corresponding equipment.
- To follow all guidelines set out by the University mobile phone policy in connection with driving while using mobile phones or 2 way radio
- To comply with the university alcohol and drug policy
Skills and experience
Full valid manual driving licence is required – DVLA checks will be completed for role – driving assessment will also be carried out in house.
