We are seeking a motivated and organized student intern to join our team as an Event Coordinator for an upcoming conference involving university-based teacher educators and school-based mentors. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning and coordination, while contributing to a meaningful educational initiative.

Duties and responsibilities

The key responsibilities for the post include:

1. Assist in the planning and execution of the conference, ensuring all logistical aspects are covered.2. Coordinate with university-based teacher educators and school-based mentors to confirm attendance and participation.3. Manage event registration, including the creation and distribution of registration materials.4. Support the development of event schedules, including sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities.5. Liaise with vendors, including catering, audio-visual, and venue management.6. Assist in the creation of promotional materials and communication plans to ensure high event visibility.7. Provide remote support before the event, including setup, registration, and troubleshooting.7. Collect and analyse feedback from participants to improve future events.

Skills and experience

equirements for the post include:

1. Being currently enrolled as a student at LJMU.2. Demonstrating strong organisational and multitasking skills.3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.4. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.6. Previous experience in event planning or coordination is a requirement for the post.7. Time management and working withing the assigned hours allocated to the role over the project.
